Recently, the 37th European International Model United Nations Conference (TEIMUN) successfully concluded in The Hague, Netherlands. The Model United Nations delegation from National University of Defense Technology (NUDT), with teachers Deng Jingzi serving as the on-site team leader and Fan Zijin providing remote guidance, achieved outstanding results. The team was honored with the conference’s Outstanding Delegation Award. Additionally, Huang Junhao received the Outstanding Delegate Award, while Zhou Ao and Ye Kaiyuan were awarded the Diplomatic Commendation within their respective committees.

This conference attracted active participation from students at top universities worldwide, including the University of Manchester (UK), the University of Amsterdam, Leiden University, University of Groningen (Netherlands), Northeastern University (USA), Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (Germany), and Paris Panthéon-Assas University (France). Centered on the theme “Innovation for Peace: Technology as a Driver of Global Stability”, the conference explored critical topics ranging from governance frameworks for outer space security and AI ethics and regulation, protection of subsea critical infrastructure, and crisis simulations based on the Peloponnesian War (431–404 BC).

Throughout the event, delegation members actively engaged in multilateral negotiations, thematic debates, keynote speeches, and cultural exhibitions at the “Global Village”. Demonstrating solid professional expertise, exceptional diplomatic acumen, and compelling cultural presentation skills, they showcased the dynamism of contemporary Chinese youth to the international community, ultimately securing multiple awards.
