Innovative Achievements
TianHe Series Supercomputer Systems
In September 2009, NUDT successfully developed China's first Peta-flops supercomputer system TianHe-1. In November 2010, the successive TianHe-1A was ranked No.1 on the TOP500 List with a peak performance of 4.7 Peta-flops, marking the first time when China’s supercomputer has topped the list.
BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS)
The BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS) has been independently constructed and operated by China focusing on the needs of the country’s national security, economic and social development. It provides all-time, all-weather and high-accuracy positioning, navigation and timing services to global users.
Magnetic Suspension and Propulsion Research
The maglev research team was established in the late 1980s and is one of the first teams to conduct magnetic suspension and propulsion research in China. The group mainly focuses on key technologies research in maglev transport, such as magnetic suspension control, guidance control, propulsion control, positioning and velocity detection system, etc. Over the past forty years, the group has mastered the large load capacity, highly stable and reliable numerical suspension control technologies for all the maglev systems over the speed range from low speed (<150km to="" high="">400km/h).
