Domestic Tianhe supercomputer host system, developed by the College of Computer Science and Technology, National University of Defense Technology and deployed at National Supercomputer Center in Tianjin and Changsha, topped the GreenGraph500 Big Data and the GreenGraph500 Small Data respectively, according to the Graph500 Ranking released recently.
Before this, Tianhe supercomputer has topped the Graph500 for four times.
Graph computing is widely implemented in areas like social governance, intelligence analysis and defense security, and has become the key technology in national high-tech strategy and a technological hot spot of academic circles and industries. The Tianhe supercomputer has topped several times the Graph500 ranking which emphasizes performance and energy efficiency. It means that Tianhe supercomputer has made world's leading breakthrough in data-intensive applications and plays an essential role in China’s development of artificial intelligence and big data processing capacity.
