Recently, National University of Defense Technology held the International Cadets Science Week in Changsha. Twenty officer-cadets in training from military academies in nine countries, including Oman, Pakistan, Laos, Malaysia, Vietnam, Egypt, Italy, Serbia, and Venezuela, along with their Chinese counterparts, were mixed into an international cadet simulation company. They participated in a week-long program of learning, training, and living, which followed the daily schedule of the military academy.
With the theme of “Deepen Friendship, Highlight Science and Technology, Exchange and Interact, Promote Cooperation”, this cadets’ week focused on topics from “Requirements for Military Personnel in the Era of Military Technology Development” to “High-Tech Facilitating Peaceful Development.” The event was composed of a series of activities, including military technology seminars, research visits, technological practices, and cultural experiences, serving as an international platform for scientific exchange and mutual learning and sharing between military academies. It aimed to promote innovative approaches to the training of new types of military personnel, share experiences on enhancing scientific and technological literacy, broaden the international perspectives of teachers and cadets, and strengthen the cross-cultural communication skills of the participants.
