On the morning of April 23rd, before the ninth anniversary of China‘s Space Day, the 3rd “Tuotian” Aerospace Forum for Young Scholars hosted by NUDT and organized by College of Aerospace Science and Engineering opened in Changsha. Fu Aiguo, Chairman of the University Board, met with the distinguished alumnus Qian Qihu, Academician of CAE, and Zhu Yangzhu, Hero Astronaut. Wu Jianjun, Vice President & Provost, attended the opening ceremony and delivered an address.
This two-day forum focused on the cutting-edge technology of aerospace, with a main forum and three sub-forums on aerospace science and technology, mechanics, and material science and engineering. More than 100 young scholars from Tsinghua University, Peking University, Beihang University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Northwestern Polytechnical University etc. gave an academic speech. This forum showed NUDT’s achievement in talents cultivation and introduced its recruitment policies. The young scholars were invited to visit teaching and research places, have face-to-face communication and reach a prelimilary employment intention.
This forum invited more than 300 guests including academicians of CAS/CAE, leaders and experts, as well as young scholars from 57 top universities and scientific research institutes at home and abroad.
