Recently, the Final of the 15th Chinese Mathematics Competition for College Students was held in Shandong University. This year, the competition attracted over 0.28 million competitors from 1108 universities and 1169 students entered the final competition, including 12 NUDT students. NUDT competitors won 5 first prizes, 2 second prizes and 2 third prizes in amateur group and 1 first prize, 1 second prize and 1 third prize in professional group.
In recent years, the College of Science set up a guiding team to help students sharpen their skills in the competition. In the last three Mathematics Competitions, NUDT has got 4 first prizes in professional group and 12 first prizes in amateur group, ahead of amateur group.
Chinese Mathematics Competition for College Students, held by Chinese Mathematical Society, is a high-level national mathematics competition for undergraduates. It has been held once a year since 2009. As competitors reached 1.5 million accumulatively with continuous fast growth, the competition has developed into a widely influential competition for college students.
