The Key Laboratory of Information System Engineering was co-constructed by NUDT, the 28th Institute of National Electronic Science and Technology Group, and the 17th Institute of National Aerospace Industry Corporation. The sub-labs, independent yet compatible, have different responsibilities and provide support to each other.
The Key Laboratory of Information System Engineering conducts research in the fields of Information System Theory and Methods, Requirement Engineering Technology, Architecture Technology, System-aided Analysis and Design Technology, System Evaluation Technology, and Information Comprehensive Integration Technology. The lab has undertaken many research projects such as National 973 Plan fundamental projects of national major security issues, National Natural Science Foundation projects, and National 863 Plan projects, and developed into the only research center for Basic Theory of Information Systems.
The laboratory has published over 30 monographs and over 1,000 papers, many of which are indexed by SCI, EI and ISTP. The laboratory has posts for Changjiang Scholars, and post-doctoral research stations for Information and Communication Systems, Management Science and Engineering, and System Engineering.
